The laundry room does more work in this household than in almost any other in the collection, it's where the toddler naps against the dryer, where the cats hold court on the counter next to the detergent, and where most of the calmer moments happen. The cast rotates between a merle French bulldog, a calico cat, and an orange tabby, with the dog usually handling the noisier, more outdoor half of the job.
The best team-up comes when both cats corner a lizard on the laundry room floor at once, one sniffing while the other watches from a step back, the toddler laughing so hard he can barely hold still. It's a nice contrast to the dog's solo highlight, an actual live rabbit crossing the backyard mid-clip while the bulldog gives chase across the whole lawn before trotting back to the porch, tongue out, clearly pleased with the effort even though the rabbit was never in danger.
Feeding time gets its own subplot too: both cats lined up at a food bowl while the toddler watches from a few feet away, and a porch scene that goes the other direction entirely, shredded tissue paper scattered across the deck with the calico sitting in the middle of it, more curious about the toddler's reaction than the mess itself.
One more laundry-room beat has the orange tabby stealing a sock straight from the drying rack while the bulldog watches from the doorway, too sleepy to intervene. There's a small competition over a pink sock on the armchair too, the calico reaching for it from one side while the bulldog naps through the entire negotiation. The quieter clips close things out, the toddler asleep with the calico curled against him and the bulldog stationed at the foot of the bed, and a kitchen-counter nap with the same cat draped over his arm. One French bulldog, two cats, one laundry room that apparently doubles as command central: the full set is below.
